Team Obama Cripples Efforts to Sue Sponsors of Terrorism

The Obama Administration got to Judge George Daniels who was residing over the case and compelled him to not “hit the PA too hard”.

The New York Post reports,

Following five weeks of testimony and less than two days of deliberations in the first civil trial of the Palestinian entities in the US, the jury ordered the defendants to pay $218.5 million to the 10 American plaintiff families of victims of six attacks that occurred between 2001 and 2004. The jury award is tripled under provisions of the US Anti-Terrorism Act.

This was a substantial victory for the plaintiffs, but the Administration decided to add salt to the wound of these American families, who have lost loved one’s to cowardly terrorists, by intervening on behalf of the PA.  The Administration wrongly believes it is justifiable in order not to disrupt the ““a two-state solution” to the Middle East conflict.”

After an unusual intercession by the State and Justice departments, the judge hearing the case ordered the PA to post $10 million cash plus another $1 million a month as a bond while the case is appealed.

That’s a far cry from the $30 million a month the victorious plaintiffs had sought. And it’s a pittance next to what most other defendants would have to post.

Once again, this Justice Department and Obama have shown with who their allegiance lies, and it is not with those who have been forever altered by Islamic terrorists.
