Sweden Offers Free Housing and More to Jihadists

Sweden’s problems resulting from the migration of radical Muslim jihadists into their country are many, no doubt causing its citizens to worry for their safety and to wonder what is coming next.  With a Swedish court allowing the flying of the ISIS battle flag and the energizing impact that is likely to have on those jihadists, Swedes have good reason to be concerned.

To answer the question of what might be next, it has been reported that one of its cities proposes to provide free housing and more to jihadists returning from Syria.

A Swedish city is considering giving jihadists returning from Syria and Iraq free housing, a driver’s license, and tax benefits to ease their reintegration, but social media users have slammed the proposal, saying it ignores the terrorists’ victims.

The support for extremists was proposed by Anna Sjöstrand, a municipal coordinator against violent extremism in the city of Lund in southern Sweden.

“There may be criticism, but [I think] that you should get the same help as others who seek help from us. We can’t say that because you made a wrong choice, you have no rights to come back and live in our society,” Sjöstrand said on Swedish Sveriges Radio.

According to Sjöstrand, these returning jihadists just made a “wrong choice,” sort of like missing a dental checkup.  Except in the case of these poor jihadists, their decisions involved killing people and destabilizing countries.  And it’s unlikely that they are repentant.

Well, at least there are some folks in Sweden who are prepared to see and talk about the problems as they are:

The proposal has been eviscerated on social media, however, with users saying that Sweden is forgetting about the terrorists’ victims.

“Lund wants to help terrorists with housing, driver’s license and job, but forgets the victims,” one user wrote on Twitter, while another added: “Rapists, child murderers, terrorists. Everyone should be treated equally.”

Some users were calling for Sjöstrand’s resignation.

Calling for her resignation?  How about her removal and the restoration of sanity?
