SWAT Raids Missouri Home, Kills Family Dog Over Failure To Pay Utility Bill

This past Tuesday, Missouri resident Angela Zorich filed a federal lawsuit against the St. Louis County Police tactical officers, the department’s SWAT team, over a raid upon her house back in April 2014 where police shot and killed her four-year-old pit bull Kiya.

The reason for the raid was to verify if her home had electricity and natural gas service – a city ordinance requires that every home carry utility services. It seems Zorich failed to pay her natural gas bill.
