Student Referred for Psych Evaluation After Making Anti Gun Control Presentation

While law enforcement determined that there was no evidence that Harvey or his presentation posed a threat to his classmates, the school insisted that he be not allowed to set foot on the campus grounds until he check in for a psychological examination.

The cruel irony of all this is that apparently, Harvey made the presentation for one of his classes the year before. So in essence, he is being punished for doing his homework.

As you might have guessed, the teacher who assigned the project in question claims that she doesn’t remember ever assigning it at all, basically expecting us to believe that Harvey went out of his way to make the presentation on his own. No offense to Harvey, but I find it hard to believe that a high school senior would make a project on a social issue for no reason at all:

“‘I’m not taking him for a psychological evaluation because this teacher is lying and won’t own up to what she did,” says Harvey’s mother Mary Vervan.

Harvey says his teacher told his family she couldn’t remember assigning the project.

News 12 New Jersey reached out to the school district for comment. Superintendent Anne Facendo would only say, ‘The school district is not at liberty to make comment on any issue pertaining to confidential student information.’

Harvey’s mother says she will not allow her son to undergo the exam and decided to pull him out of school. Harvey says he will now work towards earning his GED.”
