Something bizarre is happening off the coast of Galveston, Texas. Were you to look toward the sea in the Texas port town, you’d be subject to a oceanic traffic jam of epic proportions. Ships carrying oil have gathered along the coast in the Gulf of Mexico in such great quantities that ships approaching the port have been asked to move toward the town slowly in an attempt to ease the burden.
This phenomenon is directly tied to the huge amounts of oil stored internationally and in floating container ships across the world. As oil prices fall, stockpiles of the resource are going through the roof, and governments and companies don’t have anywhere else to store it.
This could cause the price of oil to fall catastrophically further, as supply far exceeds demand for the time being.

Bobby Stone No it’s not. It’s the Illuminati and the Masons and OPEC and ISIS and OBama and the Warren Commission trying to destroy the evil USA. 😉
i went by yesterday and there were alot more ships than that
Having just been to Galveston for my anniversary, there are no more than usual ships off the coast. All cargo and all normal.
Instead of worrying about this junk, Why aren’t we asking why our government is importing oil when we have more than enough under our own country. Oh yeah our government both republicans and democrats love to support terrorism by buying oil from the middle east
I have the answer. The people that believe this BS are the same ones that send money to a friend that is in a foreign country and has lost his wallet. So to save time just send me the money and I promise that I’ll get it to them.

This happens every week as the ship’s are parked at the entrance to Galveston Bay. They are waiting to get into port to load/unload. Only so many are allowed at a time. And usually on the weekends. We have seen as few as two or as many as 15 sit out there waiting their turn
Marco Romero so gleeful over foreign countries sticking it to the Oil Barrons. Just like the poor rushing to stick it to the rich. I didn’t realize oil field workers were part of the “Establishment” (and they’re certainly not rich). But who do you think is going to get the short end of the stick first? Do you actually think it’s going to be the Oil Barrons? Take another look at that and realize how it may impact you. There are thousands of jobs and millions in wages that depend on that, not just the Oil Barron’s profits. Those losses are already being felt in job losses, layoffs, and reductions in wages. That means it’s affecting huge portions of our economy. Eventually, everyone is going to feel that, probably you as well.
