Spurs Coach: White People Need to be ‘Uncomfortable’

Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is “embarrassed” of America. This is the man defending players right to kneel claiming it doesn’t disrespect the country. Would that happen to be because you don’t believe the U.S.A. deserves any respect?

Popovich didn’t hold back in his 1st full press conference since the whole national anthem debate exploded following President Trump’s remarks in Alabama over the weekend.

Not only does he think “Our country is an embarrassment to the world”, he also thinks all whites should be made to feel “uncomfortable” DESPITE also sharing “there is no such thing as whiteness”.

“There has to be an uncomfortable element in the discourse for anything to change,” Popovich explained. “Whether it’s the LGBT movement, women’s suffrage, race, it doesn’t matter. People have to be made to feel uncomfortable, and especially white people because we’re comfortable. We still have no clue of what being born white means.”

“If you read some of the recent literature, you’ll realize there really is no such thing as whiteness, but we kind of made that up. That’s not my original thought, but it’s true,” he continued.

Of course we know the ridiculous leftist nonsense spewing out of your mouth isn’t “original thought”. Really the notion that we might think it was is actually hilarious – almost as much as your command that  we believe ‘it’s true”.

More importantly, there is a reason the left is so caught-up in viewing race in terms of micro analysis.

From a macro perspective, race relations in the U.S. are good. Americans tend to get along. It is a fairly recent concept that one’s political affiliation dictates play dates, goodwill, and interactions with neighbors for millions of everyday Americans.

Most of us are concerned with putting food on the table and giving our children more opportunities NOT obsessed with “micro-aggressions” or reading up on how racism today is “invisible but real”, according to academics.

If you live next to good hardworking upstanding neighbors – you’ll get along great regardless of ethnicity, or so it has been for many many decades. Is that not so? Race is a secondary attribute. People against athletes kneeling for the national anthem take issue with disrespecting the country, not the pigmentation of the person’s skin. To insinuate otherwise as Popovich does so hatefully in his press conference is preposterous.

Here is the full press conference,

Here is the harsh truth that leftist propaganda never fails to purposefully admit. The greatest killer of the African-American community is fellow African-Americans.

You are more likely to be struck by lighting and die, then to be (unarmed) and shot by a cop in the U.S. on any given year.

16 unarmed black men were shot by the police last year.

2,380 black men were killed by fellow blacks last year.

Where is the outrage for that?

What do the bottom feeders plaguing the African-American community have to gain by truly standing up for the greatest problems attacking their communities?

Needless killings are despicable and wrong across the board. End of story. No one is in the right if a life is needlessly taken. However, of these two problems, one is a daily catastrophic crisis, the other an improbable “doomsday” freak occurrence.

Can you imagine if BLM took to the streets every time an innocent unarmed African-American citizen was murdered by an African-American?

If the news stations covered it the same way as a suspect police shooting – there would be breaking headlines multiple times a day. But, no we don’t care, and why is that?

These athletes are (from their perspective) kneeling to protest police brutality NOT to show disrespect to their country. And yes that is an oxymoron but that is beside the point.

The narrative doesn’t hold-up. Black lives matter – ALL OF THEM. But, don’t tell that to a liberal bottom-feeder.
