In an interview on NBC, filmaker Spike Lee claimed that Americans don’t care about the massive amounts of gun violence because its “not Sandy Hook.”
While Spike Lee attempts to spin Americans’ lack of interest in Chicago by insinuating that no one cares because those who are dying aren’t innocent, young, white, schoolchildren, he’s totally ignoring those who are ignoring the violence in Chicago.
While most of America is pointing toward Chicago as proof that gun-free zones don’t work, those who are outright ignoring the city is none other than Black Lives Matter.
The reason for this is obvious. When it comes to Black Lives Matter, black lives only matter when they are killed by white Americans. Because such a huge percentage of Chicago’s murders are black on black crime, Black Lives Matter doesn’t seem to care.

American do care. It has the strongest laws on gun control and is one of four cities run buy dems, that has the highest rate of shootings. Gun control works for them.
Chicago doesn’t care about its own gun vilonce. It just keeps happening every day. Same-O-sameO day in and day out.
It isn’t so much we don’t care. It is what can any of us do about it and for it?
I’ll thank you Spike to not lump me in with the mass progressive media which doesn’t care to report such carnage since it falls outside their agenda. REAL Americans care about such violence due to current laws going unenforced via deals & plea bargains,REALLY!
Why dont Chicago residents take care of themselves? Get rid of gun restrictions and watch violence go down. Why do they need baby sitters? They made their own mess. Another Democrat city.

As law abing, responsible, we are powerless to convince blacks to stop killing each other. They will not listen to what we have to say because they consider any attempts to talk some sense into them to be coming from “racists”. This closed minded stupidity will seal their fate. Besides, Sandy Hook was a natural disaster, not the disaster of failed liberal politics.
You citizens elected crooked politicians …. it is not DFW that should come to your rescue.
