Somali Cop Who Killed Minnesota Woman for No Reason Has Quite a Past

Mohamed Noor, the 1st Somali American police officer in his precinct, shot and killed an Australian yoga and meditation teacher, Justine Damond last weekend.

Mohamed Noor reached over his partner and shot Damond dead while she was speaking to his partner.

Damond called the police to report a possible assault down the alley behind her home.

Damond was shot and killed while wearing her pajamas and speaking to another police officer after calling 911 to report a possible assault in an alley behind her home on July 15, reports The Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Noor’s partner was described as “stunned” by the shooting.

The Black Lives Matter Rubric Analysis:

1) Was there a conservative racist white man in place as mayor facilitating an environment where these types of shootings could take place?

A. Such blame shifting is actually illogical. We live in America. The law is the law – unless you live in a liberal district. Upon which the whole point becomes contradictory.

B. No. Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges is a woman, a liberal Democrat, and one of the few U.S. mayors deemed worthy of holding a meeting with Pope Francis during his U.S. tour.

2) Did the mayor or the police officer hold this trigger happy racist up as a role model prior to the shooting?

A. Yes. This point is still as pointless as the prior. But, tell that to Black Lives Matters.

B. Yes. Betsy Hodges was a fawning fan of Mohammed Noor for breaking down barriers and proving the so-called alt-right wrong.

“I want to take a moment to recognize Officer Mohamed Noor, the newest Somali officer in the Minneapolis Police Department,” Mayor Betsy Hodges posted on Facebook last year. “Officer Noor has been assigned to the 5th Precinct, where his arrival has been highly celebrated, particularly by the Somali community in and around Karmel Mall.”

3) Was the suspect being violent or is there any reason not to think this wasn’t a hate based crime resulting from the color of the victim’s skin?

A. No. Furthermore, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) reports that no weapons of any kind were retrieved from the scene.

B. Yes. The victim was Caucasian. The shooter was Black. It had to be a racially motivated killing. That’s the only conclusion. Right?

4) Does the cop have a prior history of violating guidelines and racial or gender discriminatory behavior and abuse?

A. Yes on both accounts. Officer Nood has had 3 complainants and 1 lawsuit filed against in just within the 2 short years since he joined the police department.

Two are from 2017 and one from 2016 is closed and according to Lou Raguse of Kare 11 is marked ‘not to be made public’.

The lawsuit stems from a police call on May 25, 2017, when Noor and two other officers took a woman to hospital and she claimed that they carried out false imprisonment, assault and battery.

‘Defendant Officer Noor grabbed Plaintiff’s phone from her hand and then grabbed her right wrist and upper arm, thereby immobilizing her,’ the complaint alleged.

5) Is there any indication that structural racism and government agencies are working to protect the cop from due repercussions?

A. Yes. The only thing we really know at this time released by the official investigation (BCA) is that they can confirm there were no weapons in custody. Besides the obvious smoking gun let off by that admission, of course.

The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) – the state agency investigating the shooting – has so far kept tight-lipped on the circumstances that led to the death of the yoga and meditation teacher.

Conclusion:

You were just given the facts. What else needs to be said. You’re welcome.
