Six Tons of Chicken Recalled by Wayne Farms

The recall involves ready-to-eat breaded chicken bite items packaged on December 1, 13, and 30, 2016. They include:

Cases of 2 clear plastic 5-lb bags of “Waffle Breaded Bites: Fully Cooked Breaded White Meat Chicken Bites. Products subject to recall have the establishment number P-20214 inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The product was shipped to Food Lion stores in Delaware, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Consumers who purchased these items are advised to not eat the products. Either throw them away or return them to where they were purchased.

FSIS generally conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify that companies involved have taken steps to notify customers and to make sure the products are not longer available for sale. When available, the retail distribution list(s) will be posted on the FSIS website at www.fsis.usda.gov/recalls.
