In light of the recent scandals concerning the VA’s mishandling of our veterans, another unfortunate secret emerged: most of America’s veterans receive zero dental benefits or oral care from the VA.
Dr. Charles Zahedi, the founder and Clinical Director of the not-for-profit organization, Dentists for Veterans, is the very first dentist in United States to have started a pilot program to conduct a nationwide study and initiative to precisely assess the feasibility and advisability of furnishing dental care to veterans under section 1705 of title 38, United States Code, who are not eligible for dental services and treatment.
By carrying out this pilot program, Dentists for Veterans will enable the Veterans Administration to better specify performance standards and metrics and processes for ensuring compliance with the hopes that these will one day be funded by federally-directed dental treatment programs. In addition, by executing this program, Dentists for Veterans will be able to rapidly identify those veterans who are completely orally disabled.
Until that funding is secured, Dentists for Veterans is rallying patriotic Americans to donate a minimum of $25 to build and furnish mobile dental facilities that will drive around America and treat veterans who lack the funds and means to get proper dental care.

And they take over 7 Years to do your rating and screw you over on that in some cases.
Wrong color.
Just when did our VA get so bad on Veterans. Only during this administration that I know of. These soldiers gaves lives and limbs for their country only to watch it being turned over to muslims.
And this is how our government takes care out our vets!!
First, I am a VN Veteran, Second VA care is second rate at best, it is run by our government, Third, Improvements are only politically driven, they disappear after media coverage backs off. Four, our history shows from the time of the GAR to the current social media groups that promote our soldierts, it is the soldiers who always get the shaft, first figfhting the wars, then having to rely on a government that only wishes to shuffle their warriors problems under the rug…..life is not fair, sad but true, as soldiers, we who have fought understand this is how it goes, we aren’t good with it, but we didn’t fight for the joy of it, we fought to keep our country free, yesterday and today…………..
The Va doesnt accept veteran if they’ve been out if service for more than 5 years and they make more than $38,000 a year.
The VA does provide Dental and oral care for veterans with those types of service-connected diabilities. It also provides former POWs dental care. Please leave caring for combat and operationally injured veterans up to those of us who have been there.
Unless your teeth were damaged while serving, why would the VA be responsible for dental care when you get out?
after their dedicated service IT SHOULD BE FREE!
COMBAT SOLDIERS DON’T HAVE TIME, NOT GIVEN TIME TO HAVE DENTAL CARE WHILE IN THE SERVICE , WHILE THOSE IN THE REAR AREA HAVE LOT OF TIME. Military Dentist are not open after 4 pm anywhere I served .
