A sheriff in Pinellas County, Florida has a warning for anyone willing to come near him with a gun, he’s threatening them with his own.
The locally known anti-gun cop made the statements in response to open carry legislation being floated in his city. It attempts to make arming law abiding citizens easier, so that they can better defend themselves should they find their lives at risk.
How ironic that a man who fears for his own life in the presence of lawful gun ownership should resort to the very thing that he opposes — a gun — in order to protect himself.
It’s unlikely the cop thought of that before he threatened to kill the very citizens he’s employed to protect.
Cops have been put in a bad light recently for shooting at criminals when they think that their lives are in danger. It has been proven time and time again that their actions are reasonable and legal in a court of law. This man, however, may be the face of what a bad cop looks like: one who openly tries to take a citizen’s gun by threatening to use his own.

Donald Arbogast this really isn’t that hard of a concept to understand. Concealed carry is exactly what it says. If it isn’t concealed then you are not abiding by your permit. So, if you are a cpl holder, and are carrying, NOONE should be able to tell.
Is it okay for a police officer to randomly stop everyone walking down the side walk downtown and frisk them for no reason? Or do you feel like that may be an overreaching situation?
Open carry, where legal, is also not reason to be harassed. If you are not breaking the law, the police officer has no reason to harass you. If I am walking down the sidewalk with a gun on my hip (which is legal here) a police officer can “ask” me whatever he would like, but fortunately since walking down the sidewalk with my firearm is in fact a legal act, he cannot detain me, or force me to provide identification because I have done NOTHING WRONG.

can I walk down your street with an AK-47 cradled in my arm ? If not why not. Oh and by the way if the purpose of carrying a firearm is to keep yourself safe from all those mean people then you would be better off by carrying a sawed off shotgun. Look why take time to draw your weapon, or remember where you hid it since most of your kind can’t think too well, why not have the MFer right out there with one in the chamber and the safety off. That way you can just let her rip whenever you see a government employee or a grade school.
