Mitch McConnell is an old boy leader from the south who is a horse trader if ever there was one. If he shakes your hand, check to see if you still have all your fingers. He is more than happy to play both sides of the fence, and it is clearly why voters are angry at the Republican establishment, which he represents to a “T”.
He is famous for saying one thing, than working out an opposite deal in a back room somewhere that completely goes opposite to his assurances previously. Most recent was his treasonous offer to fast track an Authorization of Military Force (AUMF) for Obama that would give him virtually unlimited power to launch military actions any time in any place, even on U.S. soil, without having to go through the inconvenience of conferring with the Congress. McConnell is simply a traitorous, dishonest political operator, and he is impossible to trust.
The reason all this is brought up is that there is brewing a decision in Washington D.C. that could have a much bigger long-term impact than the 2016 presidential election, and it has to do with who is telling the truth about the recently deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. And the decision could turn the Constitution into a moldering relic.
See decision that could destroy the U.S., page 2:
You are right Tito
If McConnell capitulates to Obama, he is a traitor.
they always do…yet they wonder why the people no longer believe in them…
Obama joined a filibuster when he was a U.S. senator to delay the confirmation of Judge Samuel Alito, one of President Bush’s nominees to the Supreme Court.
“I will be supporting the filibuster because I think Judge Alito, in fact, is somebody who is contrary to core American values, not just liberal values,” Obama said in January 2006.
Obama has no idea what American values are. His only values are leftist values.
There is no requirement to fill Scalia’s seat on the Supreme Court. The Constitution doesn’t require 9 justices. The Senate, not the President, determines how many justices there will be. Ask FDR, he thought he had control of the Court, as well. The Senate can, if they so choose, reduce the number of justices to 7 and have no vacancy to fill, even after the next justice leaves. The President has no say. They don’t have to consider the President’s nominee. 24 times in the last 240 years, the Senate has not considered the nominee. It is about time the Senate stood firm and told Obama no more. No more capitulation, no more comprimise, no more knuckling under, no more heading this country in the wrong direction, and no more nominees confirmed, period. Obama doesn’t have to get his way and no Executive Order will change that.
