Our Republican-controlled Senate just handed Obama a major win on Thursday by ending debate on a bill known as ‘fast track’, which gives the President power to ram massive new pacts through Congress without their ability to make amendments or its contents being made know to the public.
The still highly secretive Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal is being shot through Congress for good reason, if the American people actually saw what was in it the obvious destruction to our nation’s sovereignty that the TPP would bring would cause demontrations in the streets on a massive scale.
This trade deal will completely gut the sovereignty of any nation who signs it as it places corporations above governments. It will cast the 12 Pacific Rim countries participating into complete fascism.
