Repealing the Second Amendment would seemingly be an impossible task. But the left will not so easily give up.
But if the Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges teaches us anything, it’s that the age of judicial supremacy means that five justices can amend the Constitution far more efficiently than Congress and the state legislatures. And right now there are clearly four Supreme Court justices who are committed to the absurd view that the operative clause of the Second Amendment — “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” — doesn’t actually mean “the right of the people” and therefore doesn’t encompass an individual right to own a weapon, even for self-defense. More of this theory on the next page:
They can try but they won’t take my guns without a fight
Mark Eldridge have you ever read the second amendment in it’s entirety? I mean after the comma, when it says : the right of the PEOPLE to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. There is no interpretation that can be accepted other than a falsehood in place of the original wording. They were not referring to the militia when they said THE PEOPLE they were done referring to the militia at the comma. They made no mistakes in the wording. You, and anyone else interpreting it any other way, Need a remedial english class.
According to prohibition, it would have to be an Amendment and ratified by the states.
This is nonsense. They didn’t “repeal” the 2d Amendment back when there was a much more liberal majority. They are not likely to do so now.
States Rights
If the Supreme Court ruled the 2nd amendment is void, it would be declared the law of the land by Congress and obama. Are they trying to create a civil war?
NEVER EVER
Who actually wants to repeal the 2nd? This is just fear mongering and stupid. First of all, it IS totally constitutional. They can’t just delete portions of it because they might not like it.
Only Idiots will believe this C**p.
They don’t have that authority congress
