Repealing the Second Amendment would seemingly be an impossible task. But the left will not so easily give up.
But if the Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges teaches us anything, it’s that the age of judicial supremacy means that five justices can amend the Constitution far more efficiently than Congress and the state legislatures. And right now there are clearly four Supreme Court justices who are committed to the absurd view that the operative clause of the Second Amendment — “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” — doesn’t actually mean “the right of the people” and therefore doesn’t encompass an individual right to own a weapon, even for self-defense. More of this theory on the next page:
Big fukn mistake
Mark Eldridge If “THE PEOPLE” is interpreted to mean the Militia in the 2nd Amendment, then who is it referring to in the 1st, 4th, 9th and 10th Amendments? 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
2: A well-regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a Free State, THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.
4: THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
9: The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by THE PEOPLE.
10. The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to THE PEOPLE.
Truth and Action is neither.
Another stupid post by Truth And Action. They should learn about how the Constitution works and what it takes to amend it.
Yes they can and yes the will. Does not make it right but the Supreme court can and will do what they want to and nobody can stop them. They proved that by giveing faggots the right to marry. Nobody stop that now did they?
Only Congress can change an amendment with a majority of the states approval.
No it’s not. stop with the fear mongering. Also the bill of rights can’t be repealed. 2/3 of all states would have to vote for it. You people are morons.
In the words of Andrew Jackson….”Now let them enforce it.”
Some of these people are so old they can’t hold there eyes open
I agree with those who say that any action on the 2nd Amendment will be the signal for the people to act. It will not be pretty and I’m sure that there are plans in place to deal with the tyrants when the time comes.
If the government resorts to using foreign troops, they are fair game before they leave any landing craft. It only makes sense.
