Repealing the Second Amendment would seemingly be an impossible task. But the left will not so easily give up.
But if the Supreme Court’s decision in Obergefell v. Hodges teaches us anything, it’s that the age of judicial supremacy means that five justices can amend the Constitution far more efficiently than Congress and the state legislatures. And right now there are clearly four Supreme Court justices who are committed to the absurd view that the operative clause of the Second Amendment — “the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed” — doesn’t actually mean “the right of the people” and therefore doesn’t encompass an individual right to own a weapon, even for self-defense. More of this theory on the next page:
Apparently there’s a very large group of people that skipped out on civics…. all of this one world government UN talk… there won’t be another election smh… I heard all of these things in the nineties… guess what it never happened… but what did happen is… terrorist attacks, a complete economic collapse, two wars that solved nothing, the Afghan War created a heroin epidemic, the banks collapsed, a surplus of money gone, the Patriot Act the biggest and Frenchman are civil liberties that’s ever been passed and a rigged election that came down to the state that the previous presidents brother just happened to be governor of…
I got 2 words CLIVEN BUNDY
Quick let’s buy more guns! Ahhhhhh!
Treason to even talk about that!
Jayson Williams you are so right about this. If these judges think that they are going to take the guns away from the American people with out a violent war then they do not deserve to be a Supreme Court Justice. I hope they have the common sense to realize that the majority of the American people do not want their rights infringed upon, especially the second Amendment.
Don’t know who wrote this article but SCOTUS cannot repeal any amendment to the Constitution. Absolutely requires a vote of the PEOPLE. Of course who knows what this stupid court will tyry to do. They have already legislated changes in laws as well as changed the actual meaning of specific words in obamacare. They’ve also violates standard the process of determining what a law says. Can’t say as I respect John Robert and his court.
It does if you’re in Texas!!!
When they try to do it they all need to be removed as Judges and put in prison for the rest of their lifes along with that pos oboma
Or can he….
First of all, an amendment to the Constitution can only be repealed by adding another amendment that contradicts the first one. Second, the President plays basically no role in the proposal and ratification of new amendments.
According to the Constitution, a new amendment can be proposed by a two-thirds vote in both houses of Congress, or by a national convention composed of two-thirds of the states. The amendment must then be ratified by three-fourths of the states within a certain time frame. It’s no wonder amendments to the Constitution are few and far between!
