Schumer on Comey Firing: “Were These Investigations Getting too Close to Home for the President?”

Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), minority leader, took to the lectern in a press conference with the intention of insinuating very dramatically that Trump had just sealed his presidential fate by firing the incompetent Comey.  With language that bordered on a Twilight Zone incestuous coupling of Harry Reid’s maniacal ramblings and Nancy Pelosi’s incomprehensible mispronunciations, Schumer doled out the tofu and potatoes of the Liberal talking points, concluding that Donald Trump had just committed political suicide.

Incredibly, what sounded like a veiled political threat was issued by the Senator, reminiscent of Rahm Emanuel’s rumored bullying in the Congressional locker room.

“President Trump called me and informed me that he was firing Director Comey.  I told the president, ‘Mr. President, with all due respect, you are making a big mistake.’

What that translates to in common Congressional Establishment parlance is:  “Mr. President, you don’t know who you’re messing with…”

That is the insinuation that Schumer uttered and that he MEANT:  “You are in deep trouble now, Mr. President.”  The full weight of the Establishment machine is about to brought down upon the administration.  Perhaps they know what to expect.  After all, Trump is being advised by many dozens of very knowledgeable, wise and Establishment-savvy people, not the least of which is Speaker Newt Gingrich.  If you remember correctly, Gingrich himself was the victim of one of these witch hunts back in the Clintonian era, replete with threats in the vein of those just issued to President Trump.

Schumer is one of many professional Establishment entitled snoots who believes that his intellect rises so far above mere mortals who reside in the American public that we will fail to understand all the subtleties of “soft intimidation” methods used so effectively by the Establishmentariat.  This, of course, is the very same senator who, just months ago, announced his confidence in Comey lost forever.

“I do not have confidence in him any longer,” said the New York Democrat, who has criticized as “appalling” Comey’s decision to send a letter to lawmakers 11 days before the election disclosing the bureau’s new review of e-mails potentially pertinent to the investigation of Clinton’s private server.

The fact remains, however, that after eight long months of investigations into whether or not the Russians and the administration colluded to “steal the election,” there has been no evidence of wrongdoing.  So much for the fake scandal thought up in the waning hours of the Clinton election night loss.

Kellyanne Conway herself, following a dust-up with Anderson Cooper, most likely needed a shower afterward, as dirty as she must have felt being in such close proximity to the source of all evil, CNN.

Schumer is insisting that the incoming FBI Director appoint an independent investigator to get to the bottom of this scandal.  Just one question, Mr. Senator:  Where was this fervor when Hillary Clinton broke multiple national security protocols and jeopardized the lives of American soldiers?
