For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

Failure to support The Constitution is a violation of his oath. Of course moon beam brown and the idiot legislation of California could not begin to recognize the hypocrisy of excluding themselves from the very legislation that they implement on the people of the state. Because this guy and the legislative think they are a special class above the people. However a large portion of the people there are oblivious and blind to the votes that are disarming them, exposing them to an increased risk to crime and enslaving them. Many do but they are outnumbered by the emotional utopian lie, that government rule will solve lives problems through legislation and taxation.
Got to love when they elude to correct weapon technology as a means for gun control. Whoever says that is ignorant of history. The founding fathers at the time of drafting the Constitution were in Congress bidding on the costs of the same sir rifle Lewis and Clark used. But opted for the musket due to the costs of the rifle. Also there is the puckel gun and many others that were NOT muskets. To say that the founders could not forsee a weapon beyond the musket is demonstrably false.
