For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

“Never before has such a comprehensive survey of law enforcement officers’ opinions on gun control, gun violence, and gun rights been conducted” – “Contrary to what the mainstream media and certain politicians would have us believe, police overwhelmingly favor an armed citizenry, would like to see more guns in the hands of responsible people, and are skeptical of any greater restrictions placed on gun purchase, ownership, or accessibility.” http://www.policeone.com/Gun-Legislation-Law-Enforcement/articles/6183787-PoliceOnes-Gun-Control-Survey-11-key-findings-on-officers-thoughts/
TOTAL IGNORANCE ON DISPLAY
Nothing wrong with keeping guns out of the hands of criminals if that’s what you mean by gun control.
What this idiot doesn’t understand is that one day one of these 2nd amendment enthusiasts could very well save his life from a BLM member or illegal alien (not from space) because they think police lives don’t matter. Hopefully, it’ll never come to that, but the possibility is definitely there. Especially since these snowflakes are trying to upset the apple cart at every chance and more so in California.
Huh…
1. Police have no legal obligation, despite the “protect and serve” rhetoric, to protect anyone other than themselves;
2. Police are the one demographic that criminals strive to avoid the _most_;
3. If the police need certain levels of arms to defend themselves against criminals, then why shouldn’t law-abiding citizens have the same ready access to the same arms?
4. The US is predicated on the basis of law-abiding citizens acting in the common defense as needed;
5. If firearms are _not_ an effective deterrent and/or defense against criminal actions, then why don’t we start by disarming _all_ law enforcement agencies and agents?…
He is a liberal idiot or he would not be in the position he is in in that city
maybe San Jose needs a new police chief
More Gibberish from Caliphonya !
