For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

What if I said “we need more control of speech…there is absolutely too many people exercising there 1st amendment rights” would prob be called a fascist or something!!!
The chief apparently believes many things, to bad he obviously does not believe in keeping his oath to uphold and defend the Constitution, does believe in his ability to keep own the framers will, and has no concept of the meaning of the word “infringed “, perhaps he should actually read the document he took an oath to upold and defend. That way he would gain an u derstanding of the proper methodology of alterind said Constitution, and be about the buisnesx of garnering 2/3 of the natio al legigislature and 3/4 of the State legislatures, then his opinion would actually begin to matter. He must be a product of the public school system. Thereby rendering his beliefs pointless.

This guy is a bad representative of law enforcement. We should always strive to protect our rights, not diminish them.

Did he share his thoughts on BLM with the families of slain officers by BLM enthusiasts?
How about enforcing the laws on criminals using guns for crimes and leave the rest of us alone !People with half a brain can understand this but not politicians
