For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

One must remember that most police chiefs are POLITICAL HACKS and NOT real police officers. A police chief is an appointed position, not one where an officer has tested for it. Most police chiefs have NOT spent much time working the streets at all. I knew of one chief who had a whole two years on the streets. A police chief determines budgets and policy for his department and does NOT have a realistic lock on crime, criminals, violence or firearm related incidents. This is why about 98% of all beat, field and patrol cops are in favor of the average citizen, honest citizens, owning, using and training with firearms. So, while his lone moron is touting for more useless gun control the overwhelming majority of his beat cops aren’t.

Where in the Constitution does it say Citizens have to get a license to use their 2nd amendment Rights? I thought the wording was “Shall not be Infringed”.
Police Chiefs are not policeman anymore. They are political appointees. They have no grit, values or code. They will do anything and everything to promote themselves to be in their position.
