For Americans who support law enforcement and trust them to safeguard both their liberties and their well-being, it is disheartening to hear officers say that the way to protect the latter is by curtailing the former.
San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia is one such officer, as he revealed in an interview with San Jose Inside. Asked about the topics of the day, Garcia not only expressed support for the controversial Black Lives Matter movement, but also voiced opposition to laws allowing Americans to own firearms for their protection.
As one might be wont to point out, a majority of law enforcement officers believe that Americans should retain the right to bear arms, meaning that Garcia is clearly in the minority on the issue. However, his position as chief of police for the 10th largest city in the country means that his opinion will carry weight among the uninformed and be cited by liberals as support for their anti-gun agenda.

How would he feel without a gun? Would he be safe walking around? Be able to protect his family? Why should he ask for ours if he wouldn’t give his up? We all know criminals won’t give theirs up yet they want honest citizens to be limited or dis armed… simply make penalties for unlawful gun possession or infractions much higher and don’t penalize good citizens, we can defend our selves because we all know there is never a cop around when you need one, they can’t be everywhere all the time.

To put thing into perspective. I have two years probation left. Yet never spent a minute behind bars. My kids have had to call 911 on mom 3 times in the last 9 months. It was self defense on her behalf every time according to her. Cops don’t do anything to their own kind. Protect the “other family” at all cost. Now most people say she is just one bad apple out of a bunch. Why would a cop responding to a DV call siding with a 185 pound 20 year veteran. Rather than a 100 pound 5,0′ little girl with a black eye?
