Rutgers University Declares Grammar Racist

Merriam-Webster defines language as “the words, their pronunciation, and the methods of combining them used and understood by a community.” Is understanding possible without standardized agreements?

The breakdown of our society continues with the breakdown of the very language we use to communicate with each other. Following the University of Washington at Tacoma and The Guardian, Reuters University has declared grammar to be racist – the university’s English department announced it will “stand with and respond” to the Black Lives Matter movement by changing its standards of English instruction.

So Black Lives Matter is now changing centuries-old standards of education in our universities. That’s quite an accomplishment for a 7-year-old group founded on (purportedly) the effort to handle racial inequality.
