Robert De Niro, co-founder of the Nobu restaurant and hotel chain, insists that he will not let President Trump eat in his restaurants and that he would leave any other eatery where the president entered.
Nobu is an upscale Japanese-Peruvian fusion chain that was co-founded by De Niro and chef Nobu Matsuhisa in 1993. It has 39 swanky resort/hotel/restaurants worldwide, including 15 in the U.S. During his 2013 trip to Russia for the Miss Universe pageant, Trump visited the Nobu restaurant in Moscow, a trip that gave rise to hoax dossier allegedly linking Trump to Russian nationals.
De Niro has been a harsh and frequent critic of President Trump, who has called Trump such names as “Jerkoff-In-Chief” and a “fuc*ing fool” in a profanity-laced tirades. De Niro has even gone so far as to say that he would push Trump off his park bench, which De Niro was honored with at the Annual Hudson River Park Gala in October 2017.
