Even the most delusional anti-Trump Republican seems to agree, the man they love to loathe is going to walk away from the GOP primary with more delegates than anyone in the race.
Any other year, this would seal a victory for the frontrunner. Those beaten would release their delegates to the frontrunner and the party would soldier to the general election as a cohesive, unified organization.
But this isn’t any other year, as Trump has disturbed all sense of normalcy and tradition in his bid to become the president of the United States, and the party isn’t happy.
The Republican Party has long been the party of ‘fall in line,’ and ‘wait your turn,’ and Donald Trump’s refusal to do either has enraged the establishment so fiercely that they’re now poised to do everything in their power to shut him down.
Reince Priebus, the head of the GOP establishment, seems so determined to get Trump off the national ticket that he’s willing to undermine the very democracy upon which his party is based.

The only message Republican voters can send the party leaders is dumping the party and registering as an Independent. Stop donating to the Republican party and only give to the candidate of your choice. Stop answering their polls, or lie when giving answers. If a campaign calls trying to get your vote, tell them you support their opponent and hang up. If you know a state delegate (or who is a delegate), contact them and tell them to vote for Trump…call them every damn day, email them.
I agree. But if we don’t put a Republican in the White House this year, I really fear there will never be another chance! Too much bickering. We don’t hear the Democrats acting that way! Of course, the media controls what they think we should know.
Then there will be no more party.
I hoope Trump goes independent and we all go with him, if the RNC does something to disquaify our votes for him!!
Janet Amy Surber Democrats are getting in on it too now between each other. The NY race is bringing out the worst in both sides. I’m sick of it all. It’s rigged anyway.
I was keeping myself so worked up over this election. Reading everything I could find, railing against the circus that is playing out…I have allowed myself to just let it go for a while. After all, all I can do is cast my vote and pray for deliverance for our country.
How many people will go to Cleveland to contest the contested convention? I’ll be there
