RINOs and Dems Plot Use of 25th Amendment to Get Rid of Trump

The Washington Post wanted to let the Democratic Party voters down easy when it was trying to tamp down the talk of impeachment.  I mean, they knew all along that it wasn’t going to happen, but they also knew that, in order to sell papers, they were going to have to play the print version of MSNBC for a while.  So, the stoked Maxine Waters’ fires and they continued with the lame narrative until they had to finally concede, there was never really going to be an impeachment of Trump.  Queue the tearful, open-mouthed shock of the Hillary supporters.

But let’s have some straight talk: A Trump impeachment is only a remote possibility, and promoting it now doesn’t do anyone any good. In fact, if Trump is removed before his first term is over, it’s far more likely to happen via the 25th Amendment — in other words, it’ll be Republicans who do the deed.

What?  You don’t know about the 25th Amendment?  That’s so strange.  Because apparently, Lawrence O’Donnell on MSNBC and Wolf Blitzer on CNN are abundantly informed on the subject.  And so are all of their guests.  Amazingly, they all begin their broadcasts with the opening that includes a bit about how Steve Bannon (according to those oh, so reliable “unnamed sources” and “sources close to the White House”) had approached the president and told him that he should worry not about impeachment, but about the 25th Amendment, to which Trump replied, “What’s that?”

Then the host and his guests all chuckle and shake their heads condescendingly, because…well, who doesn’t know about the 25th Amendment, right?

Okay, so most normal people don’t.  And neither do the vacuous, uneducated “news readers” who go before a camera every night to read the script in front of them.  But they’re going to act as if they have some deep, long-perceived insight into the subject.  I would just kill to see their search engine stats results over there at CNN as the producers, anchors and scriptwriters all clambered to their terminals to find out what the 25th Amendment actually said.

Roger Stone, a friend of President Trump for more than 40 years, revealed not so long ago that the real estate mogul would have more to fear from his own party than that of the Democrats.  In fact he was sure that they would claim that he suffered from advanced stages of Alzheimer’s Disease in order to get him removed and replaced by VP Pence by virtue of this amendment.

The 25th Amendment is divided into four sections and deals primarily with the succession of the president in certain situations.  The first section deals with the law that clarifies that if the president is killed or dies in office, the vice president will take over the job.  The second section deals with the death of a vice president, that if there is a vacancy, the president has the obligation to name a replacement.  The third section deals with a situation when the president is unable to carry out his duties as president, he may place the vice president in charge by written declaration to the Speaker of the House.

Finally, there’s Section 4 which is what the Liberal Brigade and the endangered Swamp RINOs have been hinting at in a concerted push on the airwaves and in print.  This actually has been invoked three times:  Once by Reagan and twice by George W. Bush (43) when they had undergone surgery and were put under anesthesia.  A breakdown of Section 4 of the 25th Amendment states:

Section 4: Vice Presidential–Cabinet declaration

Section 4 is the only part of the amendment that has never been invoked. It allows the Vice President, together with a “majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide”, to declare the President “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office” by submitting a written declaration to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives. As with Section 3, the Vice President would become Acting President.

Section 4 is meant to be invoked should the President’s incapacitation prevent him from discharging his duties, but he is unable or unwilling to provide the written declaration called for by Section 3. The President may resume exercising the Presidential duties by sending a written declaration to the President pro tempore and the Speaker of the House.

Should the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet believe the President is still “unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office”, they may within four days of the President’s declaration submit another declaration that the President is incapacitated. If not already in session, the Congress must then assemble within 48 hours. The Congress has 21 days to decide the issue. If within the 21 days two-thirds of each house of Congress vote that the President is incapacitated, the Vice President would “continue” to be Acting President. Should the Congress resolve the issue in favor of the President, or make no decision within the 21 days allotted, then the President would “resume” discharging the powers and duties of his office. The use of the words “continue” and “resume” imply that the Vice President remains Acting President while Congress deliberates.

However, the President may again submit a written declaration of recovery to the President pro tempore and the Speaker of the House. That declaration could be responded to by the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet in the same way as stated earlier. The specified 21-day Congressional procedure would start again.

This is a huge ordeal, as you can see.  The FNIC is pretending that this is a slam dunk and that the Trumps will be packing their travel bags by tomorrow.  They really do believe that the cabinet, that Kelly, Mattis and Tillerson are running a Romper Room version of a day care center.  MSNBC’s O’Donnell uses the term “adults” when referring to Trump’s cabinet, snidely insinuating that Trump himself is the petulant child.  This after coddling the whiny and petulant Obama when the Republicans refused to support ObamaCare.  Couldn’t tell you how many times they changed his diaper during one of his televised tantrums.
