Evidently, there was someone within the 911 dispatch who has some sense of Constitutional rights, because when the obviously leftist caller felt the need to call police over this man who must have been committing an illegal act, the caller was told that “the man was exercising his First Amendment rights and not violating the law,”
Phew! A patriot was lurking within a government system and defused the situation. Certainly not an everyday occurrence.
Think for a moment where we began as a nation…freedom to speak your mind and say whatever the hell you want, make whatever the hell you want as along as it doesn’t hurt another individual.
Now, we have someone calling the cops because a man has a flag.
The Marxists have created a condition that has redefined what ‘hurt’ means. Now, if someone is personally, emotionally, offended, they have a right to have authorities chastise that person. This is the New America. This is PC, this is how we are losing.
Twitter user Wayne Jaing (@WanyeVVest) tweeted a photo to a news outlet of the man walking down Lee Highway “with a purpose.”
Ironically, by using his phone to snap the picture while he was driving, Jaing was likely in violation of the law more than the man carrying the flag was.
“[He was] not yelling anything but [you] could tell he was walking with pride in his step,” Jaing tells ARLnow.
The news outlet deemed it “highly unusual for Arlington,” apparently not remembering — or subconsciously suppressing — Virginia has a Confederate flag option on its license plates and as of now, the Stars and Bars is still allowed at the National Cemetery.
Two weeks ago, a shopper at the Redwood Country Flea Market in Wallingford, Connecticut was so “offended” by Confederate merchandise, he called 911.
“There was a table set up with this material,” Wright said. “It’s not criminally illegal, but obviously it offended this person. It causes some people a sense of being uncomfortable. Certainly the owner could preclude this merchandise.”
The town resident who called 911 said there were helmets with swastikas, images of Hitler and other historical Nazi items.
“I was shaking and almost vomiting,” he tells the paper. “I had to run. My grandmother had numbers,” referring to the digits the Nazis would tattoo on prisoners.
The caller complained that the Confederate items were “not authentic” and were replicas of flags and weapons.
Police chief William Wright said “the reason no one was arrested was because the items were being sold on private property.”
Find something to complain about next time.
So its his right last i checked this is supposed to be a Free Country
I would also like to add to this wonderful Comment that the southern states actually succeeded and therefore it was not a civil war, but a war to force the south back into the union.
Lincoln was a racist and is seen as one of the greatest presidents however; he trampled on states rights, a clear violation of the cons$#%&!@*ution.
If the “civil war” was about ending slavery why did the south end slavery two years before the north? Why did Lincoln promise that any state that rejoined the union would be allowed to keep slaves?
Thus war of northern aggression was about money. Plain and simple the north didn’t have the money to stand alone as a country.
I see a part of history in it that you are proud to be from the south.
