Report: Mueller ‘Deeply Disturbed’ by Pelosi’s Remarks, Wants to Testify ASAP

It’s difficult to see how Democrats could have any traction whatsoever in 2020 should the report prove true that Robert Mueller is furious and can’t wait to ‘set the record straight’ in response to Nancy Pelosi’s comments that AG Barr broke the law by lying to Congress.

News broke Thursday that House Democrats were engaged in direct talks with Mueller to get him to testify.

A source familiar says House Judiciary has begun discussions directly w/ Mueller’s team about coming to testify before the cmte but nothing has been finalized at this point + no date has been set. Previously the Cmte had been in discussions w/ DOJ regarding Mueller’s testimony

One America News Network reporter Jack Posobiec then reported on Thursday that Mueller is steaming at Pelosi and demanded to have his hearing before Congress ‘as soon as possible.’

“BREAKING: Special Counsel Mueller “deeply disturbed” by Pelosi accusations against AG Barr today and is urging Nadler to push up his hearing to testify and correct the record as soon as possible,” he said.

Barr and Mueller are longtime friends. Mueller is probably not happy at all with how Democrats and the media have skewed minor points of contention between the two into full-blown claims of law breaking. From MSNBC:

Attorney General William Barr and special counsel Robert Mueller have been friends for three decades, and their families have long socialized together.

After the events of recent weeks, culminating in Barr’s contentious appearance on Capitol Hill Wednesday, it’s fair to wonder whether that remains the case.

If Barr’s appearance before the Senate Judiciary Committee has made anything clear, it’s that he and Mueller are profoundly at odds about Mueller’s role, his findings, and even the extent of Mueller’s dissatisfaction with the way Barr has informed the public about the outcome of the investigation.

Certainly, the last thing Democrats and the media would want on top of the egg on their faces following the release of the Mueller report is for Mueller himself to rebuke Pelosi’s comments where she accused the AG of lying and breaking the law. Egg on top of egg is game, set, match.
