Report: 40,000 Christians Persecuted By Muslims Across Germany

When one flees Islam and converts to Christianity, their very life is at risk.  Breitbart London reported that many migrants have fled their homelands, desiring to convert to Christianity, but knowing that in countries like Afghanistan and Iran, they could be put to death.

Yet now, even in their new European asylum homes, they are facing abuse and persecution at the hands of radical Muslims, because they are viewed as apostates.

The most prevalent form of abuse was verbal insults with 96 people saying that had received abuse or threats. Eighty-six said they had been physically assaulted and 73 said they had been subjected to death threats against themselves and family members. Three quarters of the migrants also said they had been victims of multiple attacks.

The perpetrators of most of the attacks were fellow migrants who look down on converts and believe them to be apostates. Perhaps, more interestingly was the prevalence of Muslim security guards who participated in the attacks. Almost half of those surveyed said they had received abuse from security guards and in the German capital of Berlin the figure rose to two-thirds. Many of the security guards hired to keep order and protect migrants regularly come from migrant backgrounds themselves and even more often have no qualifications.

According to Open Doors, “Christian persecution is any hostility experienced from the world as a result of one’s identification as a Christian.  From verbal harassment to hostile feelings, attitudes and actions, Christians in areas with severe religious restrictions pay a heavy price for their faith.   Beatings, physical torture, confinement, isolation, rape, severe punishment, imprisonment, slavery, discrimination in education and employment, and even death are just a few examples of the persecution they experience on a daily basis.”  This organization has for over 60-years worked in the world’s “most oppressive countries for Christians”.

Markus Rode, a member of Open Doors and Volker Baumann from Action for Persecuted Christians, along with many other organizations, recommended to the German government that Christians should be housed in separate homes and that there should be an outreach to the Christian migrants who may be afraid to report abuse due to “reprisals from Muslims in their asylum homes”.  They have also suggested an increase in guards who are not Muslim.

Volker Baumann of Action for Persecuted Christians (AVC) says the situation is far bigger than 231 migrants, claiming that up to 40,000 Christians are persecuted for their faith in Germany according to the group’s research.

The threat is real and as Muslims migrate into Europe, alongside Christian countrymen, they will bring their persecution to the west.
