The attempt to connect the ideologies and intentions of President Trump to those of Adolph Hitler is utterly ridiculous. You don’t even have to like Mr. Trump to realize that this comparison won’t work. Not only does President Trump show no desire to invade neighboring countries, but he also has shown no interest in rounding up Jews or any other group for persecution let alone extermination.
There will be those on the left who will make the hopeless attempt to connect President Trump’s policies regarding illegal immigrants with Hitler’s extermination of the Jews. Note first that Mr. Trump is not attempting to rid the country of those who are here legally with the possible exception of those who have been convicted of crimes. His efforts are directed at those who broke the law to enter the country, and even those are to be humanely treated as they are returned to their countries of origin.
People look ludicrous when they try to play the Hitler card on Donald Trump. That they can gain some support by so doing only indicates that their followers are ignorant of history or just don’t care. We’ll take a quick look at an example of one leftist loon trying to use Hitler to her advantage.
Political activist Sunsara Taylor told Tucker Carlson Tuesday night that, “in the name of humanity, [the] 7 billion people on this planet need to pour into the streets” and protest President Trump.
“Look, we’re facing an emergency,” the “Refuse Fascism” organizer told The Daily Caller founder. “Humanity is facing an emergency. A fascist regime has seized the reins of power in one of the strongest — no the sole super power in the world. Trump and Pence are operating out of Hitler’s playbook, only they have nuclear weapons.”
So now we are to believe President Trump as well as Vice-President Trump are worse than Hitler in that they have his goals plus nuclear weapons. The hyperbole gets worse in Ms. Taylor’s next comments.
“The resistance needs to grow,” Taylor stressed. “People need to know that this is a fascist regime and drop the hammer and close down — it’s working to close down the space for people to stand up and resist.”
“In the name of humanity, 7 billion people on this planet need to pour into the streets and say, ‘no. We refuse to accept this fascist America. We refuse to accept this for the world, and we must drive them out.’ We need to stay in the streets.”
So now people are to rise up “in the name of humanity” and “stay in the streets” to oppose President Trump. Ms. Taylor’s hubris is as profound as her remarks are ridiculous. No examples are given as to why the Trump-Pence administration is a “fascist” regime. No analysis is offered as to the ways in which they allegedly resemble Adolph Hitler. All we get are a bunch of unfounded and unproven allegations meant to stir the emotions of those on the left.
Ms. Taylor speaks like a nitwit.
