“I can’t imagine any use for bayonets in an urban setting,” stated Sen. Rand Paul to Senate Homeland Security Committee at a hearing last year.

Rand Paul is completely correct, of course, that there is no need for bayonets in local law enforcement. Bayonets are for hand-to-hand combat in battle and the only purpose is to kill.

It’s light years beyond obvious why police “need” bayonets. For COMBAT! Civil war fighting? Does that mean that the citizenry should shoot first then ask questions later about why we have a police state???
They will come in handy when the coons are rioting. Since the blacks are so outraged at shootings we just use bayonets ……I have no problem with that.
