Qatar Threatens Military Intervention and Syria Issues Its Own Threat

Too many cooks in the kitchen, will begin World War III.  Enter Qutar.

“If a military intervention will protect the Syrian people from the brutality of the regime, we will do it,” Khalid al-Attiyah, Foreign Minister of Qutar said.

In response the Syrian Deputy Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad, countered with “If Qatar carries out its threat to militarily intervene in Syria, then we will consider this a direct aggression … Our response will be very harsh.”

In April it was reported Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar had increased the transfer of weapons and financial aid to Jaish al-Fatah, or the Army of Conquest, a command structure for jihadist groups in Syria that includes Jabhat al-Nusra, Ahrar ash-Sham, Jund al-Aqsa and the Muslim Brotherhood of Syria linked Sham Legion.

Meanwhile, Putin continues to flex his muscle in Syria, leaving one to wonder where Obama fits into the whole world power scheme. Obama draws imaginary lines and lets the Middle East flood across.

Now back to Qutar…  stay tuned for their next move.
