Just what did Professor Rust do that got him labeled a racist? Get this…he corrected spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the papers of black students.

If he was racist, why would he bother to correct any of his errors? Doesn’t his act of correcting them indicate a desire for him to improve? How is that racism?
It’s a no win situation
I thought that is what professors do. When I was in college my papers and tests graded on spelling, punctuation, and grammar in addition my knowledge of the material. Papers were graded on spelling, punctuation and grammar plus my knowledge of the material I was reviewing. When did correcting spelling, punctuation and grammar become a racist act?
