UCLA professor emeritus of education, Val Rust, was the target of the protestors last year by “aggrieved minority students,” as they label themselves, for charges of racism.
Just what did Professor Rust do that got him labeled a racist? Get this…he corrected spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the papers of black students.

it is sad… but our public elementary schools have been allowed to not teach proper parts of speech, spelling was to be over looked, and grammar went out the window and teachers embrassed it, made life easier… but what education board even thought about letting this happen… that is where it begins… and then in High School they are so behind…they drop out, I feel the system has failed many students and all cultures… by letting the fundamentals by dropped…. But this Teacher should not be labeled for trying to teach
black or white all kids should be taught properly what the hell is going on?

That is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. What is school for anyway….to learn. How is anyone going to learn? By being corrected if needed. You know…I have never considered myself a racist but the way things are going things could change. Seems all they are looking for is the easy way out and hand outs. I’m sick of it.
