UCLA professor emeritus of education, Val Rust, was the target of the protestors last year by “aggrieved minority students,” as they label themselves, for charges of racism.
Just what did Professor Rust do that got him labeled a racist? Get this…he corrected spelling, punctuation, and grammar in the papers of black students.

Professor needs to make no apologies. English is English. Learn it…or flunk it.
I know someone that loves to say, “more better”! I’ve tried correcting his grammar, but he gets so offended so I’ve stopped. My Father in Law said it best, he said “Use your head for more than a hat rack.” Words of wisdom to live by.
If the Professor corrects all students punctuation & grammar then how is it racist? If the students are wrong today and they are not corrected they’ll go through life being wrong.
