President Trumps Sends Dire Warning to 9th Circuit Court Judges

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, now infamous for its many anti-Right judgments, has come into the spotlight of partisan politics again.  Its Leftist supporters in the Democrat Party complain all the time about how Congress should be hands-across-the-aisle, singing in perfect harmony about any rulings that come down the pike regarding an issue near and dear to the hearts of Liberals.

When it comes to hardball, however, the Democrats run to the 9th Circus Court of Appeals in a heartbeat in order to undermine the American majority of voters on issues that cannot be spun in a Left-ward direction.

For too long, Republicans have been frustrated with the attempt by this activist court to overturn all things Right, and now President Donald Trump is pushing back against the West Coast tide.

Trump was asked in an exclusive interview by the Washington Examiner if he had thought about using the power of the Oval Office to do something about this activist body that would restore power to the American people.  His response was succinct and a warning to all those who oppose the majority of American voters.

“There are many people that want to break up the 9th Circuit.  It’s outrageous…You see judge shopping, or what’s gone on with these people, they immediately run to the 9th Circuit,” Trump said.  “It’s got close to an 80 percent reversal period, and what’s going on in the 9th Circuit is a shame.”

“We have a big country.  We have lots of other locations.  But they immediately run to the 9th Circuit.  Because they know that’s like, semi-automatic,” Trump said.

His comments came one day after U.S. District Judge William Orrick temporarily blocked Trump’s efforts to withhold funds from any municipality that refuses to cooperate with immigration enforcement officers.  Orrick, based in San Francisco, argued that Trump had overstepped his authority in January when he directed the Justice Department to put immigration-related conditions on grants for so-called sanctuary cities that may not be directly related to law enforcement.  The case, if appealed, would go before the 9th Circuit.

Other judges on the court halted two different versions of an executive action aimed at tightening vetting requirements for immigrants from Middle Eastern countries, because both actions called for a temporary suspension of some immigration from several predominantly Muslim countries.

When it comes to activism, one of the worst examples of this goes beyond even the blatant illegal type that is apparent in places like Berkeley, Baltimore, or Seattle.  When the judges who are supposed to be upholding the law are treating the American majority as if they are the lawbreakers, actions like what President Trump is proposing find much support in the public arena.

Its impact would be felt the nation over and, perhaps, it would end the near-monopoly on Leftist judicial activism that Progressives appear to enjoy in the current atmosphere.

The gauntlet has been thrown down and now we’ll have to wait and see if the threat to break up the 9th Circuit becomes reality.
