If I were to tell you that my belief was that transgender individuals are severely impacted by a mental disorder that leads them to believe that they are in fact the opposite sex, you’d ask me for evidence and, while I could probably spout off research and scientific studies and quote doctors who have editorialized on the subject, if doesn’t really mean that I know what I’m talking about, does it?
I’m not a doctor, nor am I anyone in the medical field with a particular expertise. I’m a writer on political and social events. I have no diploma in medicine or human behavior.
I do, however, completely agree with my opening statement above and have for a long while. Dr. Paul McHugh of Johns Hopkins University Medical Center laid it out quite plainly. Transgenderism is a mental disorder that requires therapy and, possibly, medication. It didn’t matter that he was a brilliant mind, that he had studied sociology and the psychology of human behavior for decades. It didn’t matter that he was arguing from the point of view of the American Medical Association and its previous reports, studies and research on the subject. It didn’t matter that he was attempting to help people with this disorder from making life-altering decisions in a moment of perceived desperation in their lives that could lead eventually to death by suicide.
None of that matter. Why? Because the Regressive arm of the Jackass Party had decided that it needed yet another severe minority victim in its pocket in order to steer the microscope of its platform away from their seemingly perpetual political losses to a controversial new narrative that would distract Americans once more from solving real problems.
Don’t take my word for it, though. Listen to someone with credentials that far outweigh the activists of the Left and their push toward identity politics. On the next page, read about a long-time pediatrician who has made the explosive claim that “transition affirmation” by the medical community is tantamount to institutionalized child abuse!
These are the people showing up in marches wearing the anatomy outfits.
