Obama Nominates First Muslim-American to Federal Bench

There is an unmistakable plan of those on the left to insinuate supporters of radical Muslim organizations into the fabric of American society.  If you’re willing to look, you’ll see that much of the effort is in the open.  One can only wonder how much is going on behind the scenes.

While this nation does hold the freedom to practice one’s religion as an essential as guaranteed by the Bill of Rights, when that religion has a political component that overtly supports the overthrow of that very Constitution and the rule of law, then the practice of that portion of that religion that seeks to subvert our laws needs to be exposed for the danger that it is.

Instead of doing that, extreme leftists such as Obama and Pelosi are encouraging the insertion of those who are hostile to the American tradition of constitutional government into positions of power and influence.

So it comes as no surprise when Mr. Obama nominates the first Muslim-American to the federal bench.

Obama nominated Abidid Riaz Qureshi to serve on the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, according to a statement released by the White House.

“I am pleased to nominate Mr. Qureshi to serve on the United States District Court bench,” said Obama. “I am confident he will serve the American people with integrity and a steadfast commitment to justice.”

Forgive me for not trusting Mr. Obama.  But what about Mr. Qureshi?  Born in Pakistan,

[h]e received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell in 1993, graduating summa cum laude, and his law degree from Harvard in 1997, earning cum laude honors.

Obviously he has a very impressive academic career.  But to what purpose will he put that education?  Will he pledge to uphold the Constitution and actually mean that?  Or will he follow the lead of other jurists who turn the Constitution into a “living document,” thereby corrupting it to fit their agenda while claiming to support it.

Article VI, clause 3 of the Constitution specifically provides that no religious test shall be required of any to hold an office of public trust, only a pledge to support the Constitution.

Will Mr. Qureshi publicly and privately disavow Sharia Law and insist on the integrity of the U.S. Constitution?  Or will he be in the mold of other Obama appointees who seek in insinuate the teachings of the Muslim Brotherhood and other extremist organizations into American society and jurisprudence?

Given what we’ve seen from Obama and Pelosi, it’s a question that must be asked — and answered beyond a doubt.
