With all of the controversy that surrounds Pope Francis, there’s a growing weight in the minds of Christians and Catholics that he’s not the man many of them thought him to be.
And if the things he said before Congress today haven’t convinced you of this truth, his comments made during an interview with the founder of La Republica should be enough to sway your conscience. Apparently, non-believers will be forgiven by God if they follow their conscience.

I am a Catholic and I think this is crazy. Yes, you do have to believe in God to go to Heaven. I’m not very fond of this current Pope at all.

I find it astonishing that the most “revered Christian” in the world has declared Jesus to be unnecessary, in essence calling Him a liar. Jesus explained the matter in very unambiguous terms in John 14:6.
“No one comes to the Father except by me”. IMHO the Pope is at best a sinner saved by grace. No more than any other Christian in Gods eyes. A title means nothing to God. God is not a respecter of persons. So when matters of this nature are addressed by the Pope I compare them to what Jesus had to say. If there is a conflict, I’ll go with Jesus over the Pope. Jesus has far greater authority.
