I thought there was only one God. How many are there and which one is the “right” God. Many belief systems but only one God, like there is only one Santa Claus.
First, this is a f**e story. It has been going around since at least 2003. Don’t fall for this c**p folks.
Early Christians were split on the idea of Jesus being the son of God. Some thought yes and others thought no. (Search for Council of Constantinople.) Muslims, like Jews, believe Jesus was a prophet but not the son of God. All three groups in fact worship the same god.
More to the point, every religion has been used as an excuse, at some point in time, for heinous acts. Those in positions of power (seeking more power) mislead their followers and convience them their road to salvation lies in these terrible deeds.
I know a lot of Muslims and they are all good people. They strive for the same things in life as you and I, to try adn be a better person each day, to raise their kids to be good people. They are also as far removed idealogically from the nut-jobs using Islam as an excuse for barbarism as you and I.
Rather than pounding our chest and proclaiming ‘our religion is the only true religion’ it might be more bennificial to spend our time looking inward trying to improve ourselves.
A Muslim friend of mine told me about his experiance going to a Christian church when he he first immigrated to the USA. He talked about how nice everyone was to him and they tried to make him feel at home. The biggest difference he noted was in prayer. He said it seemed to him that when Christians prayed they asked God for things and when Muslims prayed they asked what God wanted of them.
Lord we need a new leader of the church, this one believe is devil in disguise and needs to be called home and soon! Get us one who believes in you and you alone!
