Ahh, another false ideology! If Catholicism started with Constantine, he would have had to have been alive in the first century when Ignatius was on earth. After studying under St. John the Apostle, Ignatius coined the phrase “Catholic” in reference to the Church Peter took to Rome. It was already called Catholic about two hundred and fifty years before Constantine was born. Constantine didn’t start anything, he simply legalized Christianity for his people. You aren’t going to be able to point to any Christian writers from the first four centuries before the Bible who weren’t Catholic.
