Pope Francis Likens ISIS ‘Idea of Conquest’ to Jesus, Says Muslims and Europeans Must Breed Because of a “Declining Birth Rate”

The interviewer was very polite and non-confrontational, and Pope Francis is quite skilled about providing nuanced answers that soften the message he is presenting. Here are excerpts from his interview:

The initial problems are the wars in the Middle East and in Africa as well as the underdevelopment of the African continent, which causes hunger. If there are wars, it is because there exist arms manufacturers – which can be justified for defensive purposes – and above all arms traffickers. If there is so much unemployment, it is because of a lack of investment capable of providing employment, of which Africa has such a great need.

More generally, this raises the question of a world economic system that has descended into the idolatry of money. The great majority of humanity’s wealth has fallen into the hands of a minority of the population.

A completely free market does not work. Markets in themselves are good but they also require a fulcrum, a third party, or a state to monitor and balance them. In other words, [what is needed is] a social market economy.

Today, I don’t think that there is a fear of Islam as such but of ISIS and its war of conquest, which is partly drawn from Islam. It is true that the idea of conquest is inherent in the soul of Islam. However, it is also possible to interpret the objective in Matthew’s Gospel, where Jesus sends his disciples to all nations, in terms of the same idea of conquest.

Ultimately, co-existence between Christians and Muslims is still possible. I come from a country where they co-habit on good terms. Muslims come to venerate the Virgin Mary and St George. Similarly, they tell me that for the Jubilee Year Muslims in one African country formed a long queue at the cathedral to enter through the holy door and pray to the Virgin Mary. In Central Africa, before the war, Christians and Muslims used to live together and must learn to do so again. Lebanon also shows that this is possible.

I am thinking here of Pope Gregory the Great (Editor: Pope from 590 – 604), who negotiated with the people known as barbarians, who were subsequently integrated. This integration is all the more necessary today since, as a result of a selfish search for well-being, Europe is experiencing the grave problem of a declining birth rate. A demographic emptiness is developing. In France, at least, this trend is less marked because of family-oriented policies.

So according to Pope Francis the root cause of the violence and the hordes of people flooding into Western Europe is hunger and poverty, which apparently is caused by the evils of a free market system which must be “balanced” by a government third party. That is typical socialist gobblydygook, and socialists have NEVER shown themselves able to equitably manage an economy, in fact, free markets have created tremendous wealth and opportunity. It is only after the wealth has been created that the socialists swoop in and insist they now need to manage and “distribute” the wealth.

But inequitable distribution of wealth did not create ISIS. The bizarre and violent teachings of Islam created that problem, along with a culture of invading, conquering, and destroying any opposition. Does Pope Francis forget that the Crusades were precisely to retake lands invaded and conquered by Muslim hordes? In looking at the various barbaric attacks such as 9/11 and more recently on France, it is clear that the perpetrators were not starving peasants paupered by free market policies, but radicalized by the teachings of Islam. And the comparison of Christ sending the apostles out to evangelize is certainly NOT the same things as Islam sending jihadi out to conquer by the sword. If Pope Francis equates these two, he needs to reread his Bible.

The more shocking observation is Pope Francis recommendation that the Muslim invasion of Western Europe is perhaps a very good thing because it can help solve the problem of a declining birth-rate in Europe. One can only suppose that will include the forced conversion of European virgins as second, third or forth wives of the invaders and the baring of their children (into a Muslim household, of course).

Pope Francis should be informed that women who do not convert to Islam are subject to serial rape and torture by jihadi adherents to the faith, which is apparently an acceptable application of the Islamic religious code. But it could help build up the European population, so perhaps in the socialist mindset that is a sufficient trade-off for the invasion and conquering of European countries and cultures.

Pope Francis and many on the Left still do not understand that Islam is a religion that seeks to conquer the world and to convert or kill every living being to prepare for the end times. That includes the Catholic church, and though Pope Francis will not be around for the final scene, his view necessarily ushers onto the world stage the complete decimation of the church he heads.
