So the Critics of Pope Francis have been loud and increasing just as much as the calls of social justice and climate change have excited the leftists in America. Then there was the alleged bombshell that the Pope went a step further when he discussed the “failure” of Jesus’ life and the “failure of the cross.”
Pope Francis’ first stop in New York was at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, where, at an evening prayer, he touched on the spirit of gratitude and hard work before making the shocking statement. Let’s run a review on the next page:
“The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”
This was his direct quote from the article. Curt Gowdy can you explain what I’m missing. I’d hate to take something from a direct quote out of context

I. Think. Pope. The. Anti. Christ.
I have news for the Pope, Jesus failed at nothing. He is walking on dangerous ground.
The pope can’t get to heaven unless he is a believer in and on JESUS as savior. He is not but in heaven seated next to God the Father. Jesus is the only way, He is the door to heaven. If you don’t believe now you will as you pass by on your way to hell.

This$#%&!@*is no pope
If you listen to what the pope said – and without the full context in which he said it – by saying “humanly speaking” it sounds as though what he is saying is that sometimes what we perceive as failures may actually be successes – and that when measured by “man’s” standards – Jesus was a failure – Many people have thought this – BY MAN’S STANDARDS – people expected Him to come in like a conquering king and rule the land – it wasn’t until after His teaching and more importantly His death and resurrection that people began to grasp the true meaning of His life and death and more importantly His gift to the world….
So again – without seeing the full context – the pope’s words seem to have been misapplied or interpreted – by both sides – and I am no fan of the pope but think this is just intentionally fueling discontent.
Read 6our bible again Mr.Pope. I think you,ll find he did not. Fail!!!!
I’m pretty sure that he is speaking of the human part of Jesus that died on the cross. And not calling Jesus the savior a failure. But that’s just my opinion
