So the Critics of Pope Francis have been loud and increasing just as much as the calls of social justice and climate change have excited the leftists in America. Then there was the alleged bombshell that the Pope went a step further when he discussed the “failure” of Jesus’ life and the “failure of the cross.”
Pope Francis’ first stop in New York was at St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan, where, at an evening prayer, he touched on the spirit of gratitude and hard work before making the shocking statement. Let’s run a review on the next page:
Hey pope tell that to Jesus when he returns !
what an idoit
Actually read the article then comment.
I wouldn’t waste my prayers or breath on this UNGODLY Pope ! ! ! His day is coming and it won’t be pleasant or pretty ! ! !
well just think how similarly my views on Jesus and his journey to the cross correspond to this point of the Pope. I have no idea/proof that the crucifixion happened. I wasn’t there. If it really did what was this martyrdom/sacrifice for? It could not have been to offer humankind the choice to be less greedy, hateful, selfish, ugly, unforgiving, vicious, violent. On the contrary we have never been more of these vices than we are presently. When it comes to be forgiving, generous, loving, respecting one another, trusting, understanding our neighbors we who adhere to the precepts of Christological enlightenment have not been adequately prepared for the aversive responses of our neighbors nor are they similarly prepared for our responses either. If Jesus’ death was meant to change our behavior for the ‘better/good’ whatever these mean it was a dismal failure. If anything human life is as savage as ever. The only other reason that can be posited to justify this sacrifice was to educate humankind that if God/Jesus could endure the vituperation of the society then we too must be prepared to face the same fates and not delude ourselves into expecting anything close enough to co-existence/harmony. Their isn’t any of these virtues anywhere. All their is is covetiousness/envy, mayhem and murder vengeance/vindictiveness, death and destruction. As for Jesus’ crucifixion being a blessing/positive act of love for the neighbors these neighbors have simply scoffed at his magnanimity asa a waste of a life for naught. What a waste! For who us? Would anyone of you/us give our lives for our neighbors only to be repaid by the ingratitude/sarcasm of asking ‘what we are trying to prove? What about the other cultures whose ethos preaches a different ology than Christianity where for example the idealic element of ‘redemption’ is missing as a reward beyond life? Is their really life after death? Is their a ressurection? Did Mohammad resurrect after three days? Is this precept singular to christians and if those of us who profess such doctrines repudiate them as bunk what about the others? These are unanswered questions. Who is capable of answering them with any semblance of authenticity? Where is God when after the American Criminal Justice system has failed to prosecute and punish George Zimmerman for the wanton murder of Trayvon Martin only to have him making a mockery of the deceased youth, his family and the system by poking his middle fingers in our eyes? Since the society of humans has failed in its duty to punish this criminal where is the God who should step in and do to him what he justly deserves?
You obviously did not read the article.

I did read the article & it still makes no sense. It is very wrong to make a statement like that!!!

He said “by human terms”. Certainly the people who crucified him thought they’d won.
False Prophet. Question is, who’s the Antichrist?
