True. However Jesus’s great command was for us to go and tell all the world about him. If we are to approach people of little or no faith with a backdoor answer to “Why Christ”? We could jeopardize the possibility of reaching someone who could be saved. Start with the good stuff, tell them they are saved because of His Blood, and then if they want more tell them what Jesus did to get there. The “out of context” statement was only out of context to believers and followers of Christ, but those who don’t know, won’t get the real meaning. Therefore it was a badly worded statement right out of the shoot. Praise Him who set us free.
