Then there was the alleged bombshell that the Pope went a step further when he discussed the “failure” of Jesus’ life and the “failure of the cross.”

Thank you, Jan Emberg. I do not agree with this Pope on many issues, either. But truth, that is, what he was REALLY saying, must be defended. His actual point is well-taken.

Which is exactly the point the pope was making. We need to look at God’s will/use of the cross and NOT what we (as human’s) would consider success!
