How long would you guess Pope Francis hid one of his top aide’s sexual assaults before the authorities caught up with the Vatican? Anyone who would suggest the Holy Father is a child molester is sick in my mind. You should seriously be ashamed to call yourself a Catholic. Cardinal Pell is innocent until proven guilty. There are many attacks against our Church and true… there have been areas of disgusting misconduct to children in the past. It is a horrid blemish on the Church. And it is sad to think that this ever happened. That said, ALL Catholics know well and good the shames of the few leaders who were clearly not Godly men. Those leaders however do NOT represent the Church. The Church has done far more good than any institution in history, and continues to do so. These allegations are just that. Anyone can lie against someone with clout and it tends to hold more weight in the minds of the sheep who will believe anything they hear, especially when millions of dollars in a potential lawsuit is involved. To think someone who hates Catholics or our faith and wouldn’t lie to cash in is certainly not out of the realm of possibility. So, in a day in age when the Church and all Christians are being attacked, this does not surprise me in the least.
I personally hope that the Cardinal is innocent, and believe he may very well be. Until he has his day in court, you should ALL hold your tongue, cause you don’t know c**p.
