This isn't the first time that the Pope has made very inflammatory statements regarding Jesus Christ. In 2015, the Pope claimed that Jesus's life ended in failure:
Here is what the Pope said, verbatim:
“The cross shows us a different way of measuring success. Ours is to plant the seeds. God sees to the fruits of our labors. And if at times our efforts and works seem to fail and not produce fruit, we need to remember that we are followers of Jesus Christ and his life, humanly speaking, ended in failure, the failure of the cross.”
Since that time, many have debated what the Pope actually meant. The most prolific pro-pope argument claims that Pope Francis meant from a superficial, human point of view, Jesus’ death looks like a failure, but actually, from God’s perspective, it was not.
This is a futile attempt at covering up the Pope's true intent. It is because of Jesus's death on the cross that HUMANS have salvation. It is because of the cross that HUMANS now have access to the Father and can be forgiven for sins. Do all humans perceive that to be a failure? Of course not! An early death could very easily mean a successful life in many scenarios.
After having maligned Jesus by painting his death with such words, Pope Francis now seeks to cut your personal relationship with the Son of God. Move on to the next page to see this for yourself:
The one thing that really jumped out at me was the Pope saying we need the church for mediation on our behalf with God.
Jesus is the mediator not the church. That is fact. It appears he is trying to separate Christians from Catholics.
Absurd!
Man of God I meant man of satin
i would have to hear this man with my own ears to believe this. i mean hear him say ” a personal relationship with Jesus is dangerous. i want and choose to believe its twisting his words somehow..i will awlays choose to believe the best in people til it is they who change it before my eyes or in my ears.. Jesus told us how he wanted us to be close to him, how could he read the bible and not notice what Jesus heart was toward us, his children,.. show me a clip or something.. then I’ll comment
Jesus spoke a lot about the heart of mankind.
Genesis 6:5 heart was evil all the time. I Samuel 16:7 the Lord looks at the heart n man looks on the appearance. Proverbs 27::19 the heart reveals the man. Jeremiah 17:9 the heart of mankind is deceitful above All things who can know it.
Although I agree that one cannot trust what news media has to say these days, the past is rather a good prediction of the future. Pope Francis seems to negate all that is Devine Scripture. The history of Catholicism is tainted in many pagan acts and rituals as defined by the inspired Word of God., as it is with all religion. Religion is man made, not God ordained. There is but One God n one mediator between God n men I Timothy2:5. I have Catholic friends who give more credence to what the Pope has to say, then the Word of God. No matter how good one thinks they live, how much they give of time and talents, if you reject any part of the Gospel, then one is not spared the consequences of that decision. Mere men cannot pray you out of torment. Humans are fallible, God infallible. A mere mortal cannot forgive sins even if confessed, only God can. Many things about religion, but especially the first religion have fallen far from biblical values, morals and the truth.
Perhaps begin by comparing the catechisms of the Catholic Church with biblical truth from God. Ask God to open the eyes of the blind.
