Civil asset forfeiture may sound like a shakedown in a corrupt, South American country, but it is an example of police corruption right here in the USA, and it is entirely legal. The principal in U.S. law of being innocent until proven guilty is one that virtually every citizen in the country believes and relies on. But somehow police have come up with some exceptions, and police unions have influenced legislators to ignore that standard in order to line the coffers of various police departments.
These police departments are now out and out stealing from law-abiding citizens, who have almost no recourse to get their money back. And now the police and highway patrol in Oklahoma have added a new twist… they will drain your bank account when they pull you over for a traffic stop, whether you are guilty of something or not. And you can bet that other police departments throughout the nation will join the list of thieving police using this outrageous device.

When stopped by police, pull your pants down, bend over and take it up yer pooper. Either that or educate yourself. It’s your choice.
