Pittsburgh to Accept 500 Syrian Refugees

The Governor of Pennsylvania will ignore the lessons of recent history, the Paris terrorist attacks, and proceed to accept Syrian refugees.

Governor Tom Wolfe says that he will continue working with the federal government to resettle Syrian refugees in Pennsylvania following the Paris terrorist attacks.

Wolf, a Democrat, said Monday that the federal government believes it can handle an additional 10,000 refugees that the White House said in September that it would accept from Syria.

What Governor Wolfe and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto may think does not reflect the over all sentiment of those who have placed these men into office.

An investigative reporter, Aacron Martin, took a poll of 312 voters asking if thought, in light of the Paris attacks, whether the Mayor should change the city’s plans to take in Syrian immigrants.  Martin found that 67% of the respondents believed that the city should change its plans.

The people need to have a say in this matter.  It is their city. It is their safety. It is their vote that put this man in office and their voice that should say whether one man can make such detrimental plans for their neighborhoods.

Watch the clip below. Even Syrians that have been in Pittsburgh for years adamantly stress the importance of vetting the migrants, which the FBI says isn’t really possible.
